Premiere of Nocturne Oct. 17th in Seattle

This weekend in Seattle (Oct. 17th and 18th), The Esoterics, under the direction of Eric Banks, will give the premiere of my latest choral work, Nocturne. This concert is the culmination of a series of events begun by my winning the “American composer” category of their Polyphonos 2009 competition, receiving a commission as a result. Look here for more details about the concert.

Nocturne is a setting of three stanzas from Walt Whitman’s poem “The Sleepers,” and dwells very much in the realm of dreams. Recordings will be posted to this site in some form as soon as they are ready.
